Hospice is a philosophy of care. Hospice provides humane and compassionate care for terminally ill patients and their families. The goal of hospice is to allow the patient to live as fully and comfortably as possible. It includes pain relief, support services for the patient, the coordination of physician and nursing services, therapy, and counseling.
